Cradle of Filth es un grupo de metal extremo con influencias de Metal Gotico, black metal y otros subgeneros del metal extremo formado en 1991, en Suffolk, Reino Unido.

Su estilo musical, cuya clasificación ha originado una gran controversia, evolucionó del black metal de sus primeros demos hacia una amalgama más limpia que abarca metal extremo, black metal sinfónico y otros estilos de heavy metal. Sus temas líricos e imágenes han sido ampliamente influenciados por la literatura gótica, la poesía y la mitología.
